Sitar Recital at IGRMS
Bhopal — Regaling music lovers with his skill, Pt. Asit Kumar Banerjee presented sitar recital at the recital at the Veethi Sankul auditorium at the scenic Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya (IGRMS) in the state capital on Wednesday.
The performance was part of the two day musical extravaganza that got underway at the museum.
Bannerjee, a disciple of Ustad Allauddin Khan of the Maihar Gharana, was accompanied by Pt. Ramswarup Ratonia on the Tabla.
On Thursday Ratheesh Babu will present Bharatnatyam, Kuchipudi and Mohiniattam at 1900 hours.
