BJP seeks budgetary allocation for youth

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday sought special budgetary allocation for youths in the upcoming budget.

State BJP President Vishnudeo Singh said in a letter to Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel that during the last assembly election, the Congress promised to provide Rs 2,500 a month as unemployment allowance to 10 lakh youths in the state.

But in the last three budgets, no provision for unemployment allowance has been made.

Sai said every youth needs to be paid Rs 90,000 till date in line with the Congress promise. So, a provision of Rs 9,000 crore is required to be made in the budget.
