Supplying tap water to every household in states villages is a great achievement: MP CM Chouhan
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that providing tap water to every household in the villages of the state is a big achievement. This scheme is a means to bring water revolution in the state. People are happy with this water revolution. In order to provide tap water to every household, six completed projects of Khandwa, Shahdol, Anuppur, Umaria, Rajgarh and Katni districts should be dedicated in a festive way. CM Chouhan was directing the officials during the review of the works of the Public Health Engineering Department at the residence office today. Minister of State for Public Health Engineering Brijendra Singh Yadav, Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains, Principal Secretary Public Health Engineering Sanjay Kumar Shukla were present.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that the preparations for the dedication programmes of the projects should be completed on time. People from every village should bring Kalash (urns) in the programme. People of 400 villages will be benefitted from the completed Roshni-1 project of Khandwa district, Gohparu of Shahdol district, Kirgi of Anuppur district, Manpur of Umaria district, Karanpura-1 of Umaria and Katni districts and Gorakhpura of Rajgarh district. CM Chouhan said that all mediums of publicity should be used to create awareness among the people regarding various projects.
Chief Minister Chouhan asked to take a feedback of the satisfaction of the villagers. He inquired about the progress of individual and group schemes. CM Chouhan said that regional MLAs will inaugurate single schemes. The quality of the projects under construction should be good.
Discussions were also held on the proposed projects for bhoomi pujan and setting-up of rural drinking water call centres.
Chief Minister Chouhan instructed to achieve the target by completing the works of the work plan of Jal Jeevan Mission-2024 within the time-limit.
