Man arrested for raping 3 year old in MP

A 22-year-old man was arrested for raping a three year old girl in village Natwara under limits of Shahpura police station of district Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh.

The accused is known to the family of the victim girl and often visited their house, the police said.

On the day of incident, the accused took the girl while she was sleeping in the house on intervening night of March 21 – 22, 2022, her father noticed the girl missing around 2.30 am, the police said.

They searched for the girl, she was found around 6 am in the morning near a agriculture field where she was crying, the police said.

The girl narrated the ordeal, later her mother lodged complaint with the police on basis of it an FIR was lodged against unknown person, the police said.

The police on inspection of crime spot found a pair of sleeper, liqour bottle and 250 grams of chicken pieces in a polythene bag, the police said.

The police team searched for the retail shop in Natwara and nearby villages including Domi, Bargi, Surai and Bamhnauda for the sleepers of a particular brand and like wise started the investigation.

The cop also went to the shop where chicken is sold and gathered information of persons who purchased the chicken in the evening of March 21, the police said.

The CCTV footages were also searched, he said.

On basis of the information gathered from the shops and CCTV footages the accused was identified and was arrested, the police said.

On interrogation the accused has revealed of committed the act, the police said.
