CM Shivraj at Ambedkar Mahakumbh: Scindia said, my wife’s ancestors sent Baba Saheb abroad to study
At the Ambedkar Mahakumbh in Gwalior, Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia said, My wife’s ancestor Sayajirao Gaikwad Maharaj had sent Baba Saheb abroad to study. Congress never gave respect to Baba Saheb. Baba Saheb had to wait for 75 years for his honor. Atal ji of my family gave him the Bharat Ratna.
Scindia folded his hands and made a statement to Chief Minister Shivraj Singh saying, Give government land to build Ambedkar Dham in Gwalior. CM Shivraj can make big announcements for the SC category in this event which is the first time in the region.
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan raised the slogan of Manch Se Jai Bhim. He said, Modi ji aur hum sarkar chala rahe hin baba saheb ke baye constitution par.
Jyotiraditya Scindia said, Being a Maratha, I am proud to bow my head to Baba Saheb. There is a reason behind this. Baba Saheb was born in Maha Samaj. Chhatrapati Shivaji’s dream was Hindu Swaraj. The most heroic commanders in his army belonged to the Mahar community. Ek aur rishta baba sahab ke saath Scindia Parivar ka ban chuka hai. My wife’s family, her ancestor Sayajirao Gaikwad Maharaj had sent Baba Saheb to study abroad. Baba Saheb Ambedkar is the Saint – Mahatma of the entire India.
Scindia further said, Today there are many leaders in the country, who remember Baba Saheb during elections. Want to advance as Dalit’s Messiah. I want to ask those leaders today, what did 75 years do? I want to ask those leaders who worked to stigmatize the backward class and today are not even ready to apologise. In 1950, the Congress fielded a candidate in the Lok Sabha elections against Baba Saheb. Not only this, Jawaharlal Nehru himself went to campaign against Ambedkar.
Through a single click, the CM inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for boys and girls dormitory buildings costing about 61 crore 43 lakh rupees in various districts of the state including Gwalior. Mitra Portal launched for students of Gyanodaya Residential School and Eklavya Adarsh Residential School. The Chief Minister inspected the picture gallery and exhibition focusing on the life of Baba Saheb installed at the venue of Ambedkar Mahakumbh. The program was inaugurated with the honoring of saints and the worship of daughters. In the program, black dupattas were taken from mothers and women.
Assembly seats reserved for Scheduled Castes (SC) in 8 districts of Gwalior-Chambal division and this program is considered important for empowering the voters of this category. Union Minister Jyotariditya Scindia, Narendra Singh Tomar, Home Minister Narottam Mishra, Energy Minister Pradyumna Singh Tomar, Water Resources Minister Tulsiram Silawat and other senior leaders have also joined the programme.
CM inaugurated 6 hostel buildings at a cost of Rs 28.72 crore. This includes a 250-seater girls’ hostel constructed at a cost of Rs 8.72 in Gwalior under the Babu Jagjivan Ram Chhatrawas Yojana. In Jabalpur, a 50-50-seater four-boy hostel was built at a cost of Rs 2.5 crore and there is also a 250-seater dormitory built at Katara Hills at a cost of Rs 9.9 lakh.
In the program, the virtual foundation stone of five hostel buildings was laid at a cost of Rs 32 crore 60 lakh. 11 crore 71 lakh rupees in Chhatarpur, 250 seater girl dormitory building, 6 crore 52 lakh rupees, 100 seater scheduled caste senior boy dormitory building, 100 seater scheduled caste junior dormitory building, 6 crore 52 lakh rupees in Singrauli. Balak Chatrawas Bhawan, Tikamgarh is going to be built at a cost of Rs 3 crore 93 lakhs, including a 50-seater Scheduled Caste Junior Girls’ Hostel and a 50-seater Scheduled Caste Senior Boys Hostel at a cost of Rs 3 crores 91 lakhs at Niwadi.
