Uproar again on Nathuram Godse, photo snatched: On Jayanti, Hindu Mahasabha workers in Gwalior clashed with the police, were not allowed to worship
There was a dispute in Gwalior regarding the celebration of the birth anniversary of Nathuram Godse. On Friday, on the 114th birth anniversary of Godse, there was a fierce debate between Hindu Mahasabha workers and the police. The police snatched Godse’s photo from the workers. There was a scuffle between the two. Police had to use mild force to control the situation.
The Hindu Mahasabha had announced to celebrate the birth anniversary of Nathuram Godse on May 19, 7 days in advance. National Vice President of Mahasabha Dr. Jaiveer Bhardwaj had told that fruits will be distributed on this day. His picture will also be worshipped. Apart from this, a letter was also written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi asking for the installation of Godse’s idols at various places.
The police had reached the Hindu Mahasabha building in the morning itself. In view of this, as a precautionary measure, the police was deployed at the Hindu Mahasabha building since Friday morning.
After this, the Mahasabha organized this program at Kali Mata Mandir in Jalal Khan ki Goth on Gandee Wali Road, Inderganj. Here a program was organized to celebrate the birth anniversary by worshiping.
The police reached the Kali Mata temple as soon as they heard about this program. As soon as Lokesh, the district president of the Mahasabha, reached the venue with Godse’s photo, the police stopped him and took away the photo. During this, the workers of the Mahasabha protested. There was a fierce debate between the two sides. After a scuffle, the police took Godse’s photo to the police station.
The police claim that the Mahasabha has not been allowed to conduct any immoral programme. On the other hand, the National Vice President of Hindu Mahasabha, Dr. Jaiveer Bhardwaj said that we successfully completed the program we had announced. Godse’s birth anniversary was celebrated, fruits were distributed in the settlements.
The Hindu Mahasabha said that Godse had opposed the partition of the country. We have written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi demanding that permission should be given to install Nathuram Godse’s statue at different places in the country. Through this the youth will also be able to know what was the ideology of Nathuram Godse? Right now most of the people do not have correct information about Godse.
According to experts, the pistol used in the assassination of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi was bought in the princely state of Gwalior itself. Nathuram Godse and Narayan Apte had stayed in the Hindu Mahasabha stronghold in Gwalior for three days before the assassination. Here he practiced shooting on the banks of the Golden Line River. From here he reached Delhi and carried out the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi. This is the reason why Hindu Mahasabha workers worship Godse here. They believe that Mahatma Gandhi was the reason for the partition and Godse took this step as a retribution.
