Stock Market Closing Today Sensex Nifty50 Latest Update September 18: The Indian equity indices ended in negative on Monday’s trading session, September 18. At close, the Sensex was down 241.79 points or 0.36% at 67,596.84, and the Nifty was down 59 points or 0.29% at 20,133.30. Top losers on the Nifty included Hindalco Industries, Jio Financial, HDFC Bank, Bharti Airtel and Adani Ports, while gainers were Titan Company, M&M, BPCL, HDFC Life and Power Grid Corporation.The Indian equity indices ended in negative on Monday’s trading session, September 18. Top losers on the Nifty included Hindalco Industries, Jio Financial, HDFC Bank, Bharti Airtel and Adani Ports, while gainers were Titan Company, M&M, BPCL, HDFC Life and Power Grid Corporation.About 1641 shares advanced, 2005 shares declined, and 167 shares unchanged. The BSE midcap index fell 0.25% and Smallcap index down 0.5%.
The Indian stock market had opened lower on September 18 with Nifty below 20,150. The Sensex was down 266.36 points or 0.39% at 67,572.27, and the Nifty was down 67.40 points or 0.33% at 20,124.90.

Tata Steel, Eicher Motors, HDFC Life, Power Grid Corp and M&M were among major gainers on the Nifty, while losers were Hindalco Industries, Bharti Airtel, Infosys, HCL Technologies and Tech Mahindra.
On the other hand, Indian Rupee ended marginally lower at 83.27 per dollar on Monday versus Friday’s close of 83.18. The home currency opened 9 paise higher at 83.09 on September 18.
