Fire breaks out in Bhopal gas tragedy factory: Flames rise from Union Carbide factory; Fire brigade teams arrived on the information of a passerby.

A fire broke out in the Union Carbide factory which was involved in the gas tragedy in Bhopal on Monday. A fire broke out in a plastic tank in the factory at around 3.30 pm. On receiving information from a passerby, the Municipal Corporation’s fire brigade team reached the spot and brought it under control with great effort.

Eyewitness said- flames were seen rising in the tank

Devendra Kansote, who lives in street number 10 of JP Nagar, located in front of the Union Carbide factory complex, said that he was passing in front of the factory. Then smoke was seen rising in the factory premises. When he went near the boundary wall of the Union Carbide factory, he saw flames rising from a tank inside.

He immediately informed the fire control room of the Municipal Corporation about the incident. Fire brigade arrived after about 10 minutes and controlled the fire in the factory premises after 20 minutes of effort. After the fire was controlled, when the fire brigade investigated the cause of the fire, it was revealed that the fire started in a plastic tank.
