Raveena Tandon, driver accused of assault in viral video, then CCTV clip emerges
Actor Raveena Tandon and her driver were recently seen getting involved in a heated exchange over a road rage incident. The video of the same is being widely circulated on the internet. The incident reportedly occurred outside Tandon’s Bandra residence, Mumbai. Raveena and her driver were accused of assaulting two women. However, the CCTV footage appears to counter that charge.
A source close to the actor revealed, “Raveena was assaulted by this group of people, and it was an attempt to enter her house. As you can see in the CCTV footage, her car didn’t even touch the lady in question. After her car entered the building, the mob started demanding the driver to come out and speak to them. In an act of trying to stop the mob from lynching her driver and watchman, Raveena tried to intervene and protect them from this group of people. In the process, she suffered injuries. The driver did not injure the lady as per the viral video doing the rounds on the internet. This is a case of personal security being compromised.”
In the viral social media clip, we see Raveena asking someone ‘not to hit’, while another woman and a man face the camera and claim that they have been assaulted by Raveena and her staff.
However, DCP Raj Tilak Roshan told that no case has been registered: “Raveena (Tandon) was coming home. Her car was taking a reverse. The lady who walked past got mad at her driver and said drive carefully. The car did not touch the lady but a verbal spat ensued. Raveena got out and got into an argument. We don’t have written complaints from either party, so there is no case.”
