An Innova car collided with a truck on the Himmatnagar Highway in Sabarkantha, Gujarat on Wednesday morning. 7 people travelling in the car died in the accident. 1 is seriously injured and is being treated at the Himmatnagar Civil Hospital.

Police said that all the 8 people in the car were residents of Ahmedabad. They were going from Shamlaji to Ahmedabad. During this time, the car collided with the rear of the truck.

The accident was so serious that the bumper of the car flew off and the bodies were stuck inside the car. The body of the car had to be cut with a gas cutter to remove the bodies.

Police said – the car was moving at a high speed. DSP AK Patel said that by the time his team reached the spot, 7 people had died. The deceased have been identified as Dhanwani, Chirag, Ravibhai, Rohit, Govind, Rahul, Rohit and Barth. Their age and other details are not yet known. Meanwhile, 22-year-old Honeybhai Shankarlal Totwani is undergoing treatment at Himmatnagar Civil Hospital.
