Rural Road Sub Engineer in Lokayukta Trap
He was caught accepting a bribe of rupees five lakhs

A sub engineer from.the Rural Roads Development Authority has been nabbed while accepting a bribe for clearing the bills of a contractor. The incident took place in the Kasrawad area of Khargone district in Madhya Pradesh.
The official, identified as Rahul Mandloi, was arrested by the Special Police Establishment (SPE) of the Indore Lokayukta office, when he arrived at the house of the contractor to accept the bribe.
As per the police, Mandloi had sought a bribe of over rupees one and a half million to sanction bills for two roads made by contractor, Prakash Patidar, in the Maheshwar area of the state.
Omprakash, Patidar’s associate with whom Mandloi had struck the deal, had complained to the Lokayukta police on October 18, and the subsequent engineer was arrested today when he had arrived at Omprakash’s residence in Kasrawad to recieve the first installment of rupees half a million.
The Lokayukta police apprehended Mandloi and brought him to the Kasrawad rest house where the formalities of his arrest were completed.
Patidar had completed the construction of the two roads three years ago.
