CBI to Investigate Muthoot Murder Case Now
Hearing murder case of Muthoot business group scion Paul Muthoot George, the Kerala High Court has ordered the state police to hand over probe into the case to CBI, reported PTI.
In addition, a bench comprising Chief Justice SR Bannurmath and Justice Thothathil B Radhakrishnan directed the CBI to complete investigation into the case within six months, said report.
The court gave the decision on a plea moved by Muthoot business group Chairman MG George seeking a CBI investigation into his son Paul’s murder in August last year.
In its order, the court directed the state police to hand over all relevant documents pertaining to the case to CBI, said report.
During the hearing, police had told the court that investigations were carried out meticulously based on ‘true facts’ but the bench criticised the police probe on several occasions, report said.
