CM Visits Marble, Granite Majors in Florence
Bhopal — The high power delegation, comprising of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Industries Minister Kailash Vijayavargiya and other delegates, visited industrial units at Carrara and Barsanti near Florence on Monday.
The delegation visited Barsanti, one of the best known manufacturers of machines used for Marble mining, processing, cutting and polishing, operating for over a century.
The machines produced by this company are used in all important countries of the world including India, China, Taiwan and South East Asian countries.
The Chief Minister and the Industries Minister learnt about the technical aspects of the machines from Barsanti officials.
The delegation later visited another marble and granite cutting, polishing company, Henraux in Massa, near Carrara.
Chief Executive Officer of the company Paolo Carli informed the delegates about the minute aspects of the marble industry, the company and its processes.
Incidentally, Madhya Pradesh, with its substantial marble and granite reserves, offers huge possibilities for establishing industries for mining, cutting and polishing of the marbles and granites.
Italy is number one in the field of marble and granite processing and polishing. With technical and other collaboration with Italy, world class marble and granite productions could soon become a reality here.
During the visit of the delegation Chief Minister Chouhan invited the Chief Executive Officer and Marketing Head of both companies to attend the Global Investors’ Summit in Khajuraho in October next.
Tata International Limited has organised Business Networking Meeting and dinner in honour of the Chief Minister and the Industries Minister.
On Tuesday, the delegation will visit two industrial units of Tata International Limited, which has established a unit of footwear design studio at Larciano, near Florence and Fashion Leather (Cloth) manufacturing Modern Tannery Complex at Santa-Croce,
