Three High Schools Upgraded to Hr Sec Level, Two Middle Schools to High School Level
Three high schools and 2 middle schools have been upgraded to higher secondary and high school level respectively in tribal dominated Mandla and Betul districts, said media reports.
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh made announcement to this effect during this visits to these districts.
As many as 901 high schools and 546 higher secondary schools are being run in 89 tribal dominated development blocks in the district.
Tribal Welfare Minister Kunwar Vijay Shah has instructed the departmental officers to make adequate arrangements for imparting quality education at these schools.
The high schools which have been upgraded to higher secondary schools are situated at villages Chilkapur and Dhamnod in Bhainsdehi development block in Betul district and village Pipariya in Mandla district.
The middle schools at village Mandvi in Athner development block of Betul district and village Khari in Mandla district have been upgraded to high school.
At present, one lakh 15 thousand students are imbibing education in 901 high schools and 546 higher secondary schools free of cost in 89 development blocks. They are provided free books, lodging as well as stipends.
