Chief Minister of MP celebrated Nehru’s birthday

Bhopal, On the occasion of children’s day and birth anniversary of India’s first prime minister and Congress leader Jawaharlal Nehru on Sunday, Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Shivraj Singh Chouhan of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) praised him.

Chief Minister said “Nehru is not a legend of the country but he is the architect of modern India and his contribution to bring the nation on the path of development post-independence is praiseworthy.” He garlanded Nehru’s statue at Roshanpura Chauraha in Bhopal on this occasion.

On Oct 31, on the death anniversary of former prime minister Indira Gandhi, he praised her for dealing with terrorism and told the central government to learn from her actions. So it was not the first time that Chouhan praised a Congress leader. Before praising Indira Gandhi, he had praised her late son Sanjay Gandhi too.
