Talwar been attacked by the same boy who attacked former DGP SPS Rathore last year
GHAZIABAD: Today Dr Rajesh Talwar was attacked by a man outside the Ghaziabad court. He was injured at his face and has been admitted in Apollo Hospital.
Ghaziabad SSP Raghubir Lal said, “The attacker’s name is Utsav Sharma. He attacked Rajesh Talwar by a sharp weapon and Talwar sustained injuries in the face. Rajesh Talwar has been hospitalised in Apollo Hospital and is out of danger now. The motive behind the attack is not known.”
Similar case in Chandighar on February 2010 occurred when the same guy Utsav attacked former Haryana DGP SPS Rathore, who has been convicted of molesting Ruchika Girhotra, outside the district court complex.
Sharma is a NID graduate and reportedly suffers from pyschological disorder.
Lawyer said, following the attack on Talwar, the court adjourned the hearing in the case till February 8. CBI’s closure report had named Rajesh Talwar as the sole suspect in the case.
On May 17, 2008, Aarushi Talwar, a 14-year-old school student and daughter of a dentist couple, was found dead with her throat slit in the bedroom of her flat in Jal Vayu Vihar in Noida. The next day, Talwars domestic helper Hemraj’s body was found on the terrace of their residence.
