Navin Nischol passed away
MUMBAI: On Saturday evening the last rites of veteran Bollywood actor Navin Nischol were performed, who passed away on Saturday in Pune.
His funeral was performed at Santacruz Crematorium in the presence of his friends, including Govind Nihalani, Manmohan Shetty, Prakash Jha, Rishi Kapoor and Randhir Kapoor.
He was 65 at the time of his death from a heart attack.
Manmohan Shetty one of his family friends informed, Nischol complained about feeling uneasy at Sion and a few minutes later passed away. He had an over four-decade-long stint in the Indian film and television industry.
If talk about his career, he had made his debut with “Saawan Bhadon” in 1970 and his last release was “Break ke Baad”.
He was a gold medallist from Pune’s Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Nischol became a popular actor with films like “Buddha Mila Gaya”, “Dhund”, ” Victoria No. 203″, “Hanste Zakhm” and “Woh Main Nahin”. He possessed chocolate-boy looks and flourished as a hero for a decade.
Nischol also played character roles with films such as “Saboot”, “Teri Baahon Mein” and “Samundar”. He also worked in quite a few television serials, including Anand Mahendroo’s ” Dekh Bhai Dekh”.
