Better power should be supplied to customers: CM

BHOPAL: The government is committed to provide better power supply and good facilities to consumers.

The Chief Minister reviewed the activities of the Energy Department on Wednesday. The meeting was attained by Minister of State for Energy Rajendra Shukla, Chief Secretary R. Parasuram, Principal Secretary Finance Ajay Nath, Principal Secretary to CM Manoj Shrivastava, Secretary Energy Mohammad Sulaiman, Managing Directors of power companies and other officers.

Chouhan said that the efforts are on to increase power supply and reduce transmission losses. He also reviewed the feeder separation work and give instruction to complete the work timely.

He said that better facilities will return in better revenue. He was also in favor of to provide electricity to farmers according to the load. The farmers should also be motivated to take permanent connections.

He also said that the dysfunctional transformers should be replaced immediately and within a time limit. He also informs about the SMS alert system.

In this system the consumer can inform the company about the fault in a transformer through SMS. This SMS will be received by a computer-based network which will have all the information regarding repair of transformers
