Steyn Knocked out RCB
HYDERABAD: RCB middle and lower order fails when it needed most. They are chasing a very small target and it seems that they are on course of an easy win, but nobody knows what happens. It may be their overconfidence or some real dangerous bowling from chargers.
With this loss RCB thrashed out from IPL. Chennai was the happiest team with this result as they enter into playoffs. RCB got a flying start chasing a modest target of 132 runs. Gayle smashed 27 runs in just 10 deliveries. But he got out at the score of 30. At one stage they were 103 for 4 and it looks like that they will win easily.
But wickets fell like a pack of cards after that and RCB could only manage to reach 123, nine runs short of the target. Steyn produced one of the magical spell with taking two wickets and conceding only 8 runs. Chargers end their campaign on a high note.
Earlier, Invited to bat first Chargers also had a drastic start losing four quick wickets. But Duminy played well and guides Chargers to a decent total. He made 74 runs which is more than 50% of the total. Zaheer and Vinay Kumar bowled beautifully

Kohli: “We could have played better shots; we did not play the right shots on that wicket. We did not get in first. My wicket probably changed the game. We just need to learn from our mistakes and come back stronger next year. The wicket was not that bad to bat on … you need to have clarity in the mind about what sort of shots to play.”
The Man of the Match, with special mention to JP Duminy, is Dale Steyn – 4-0-8-3. He took the wickets of Gayle and Dilshan.
Steyn: “I think we’ve lost games that have been so crucial. To win tonight … a last over finish, I’m very happy we pulled it off. There were a lot of emotions coming out in that final over. I was up for the challenge today and it paid off.”
Steyn on his battle with Gayle: “In all honesty, it came off tonight. He could have hit me into the stands. In the previous game they got after me.”
