MP got many Investment Proposals
Bhopal. ‘We’ve got Many investment proposals from South Asian countries. investors of the three countries are enthusiastic about investment in Madhya Pradesh’. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan informed, after returning from his ten day foreign visit.
Chief Minister said that this journey proved to be very useful in view of apprising foreign investors about immense possibilities in Madhya Pradesh. This tour will pave new ways to industrial investment and exports in State. Shri Chouhan had left Bhopal for tour of Japan, South Korea and Singapore on June 17. During the tour, Shri Chouhan visited various industrial areas of the three countries, held discussions with captains of industry and representatives and officers of industrial houses and invited them to invest in the state. A grand welcome was accorded to Shri Chouhan at Bhopal airport.
The Chief Minister said Investors have given consent to participate in Global Investors’ Summit to be held at Indore. Shri Chouhan informed that a meeting was held with Jetro in Japan. The company has instructed its Delhi unit to have live contact with Madhya Pradesh Government.
The Chief Minister informed that these countries also lauded Madhya Pradesh government’s decision to provide loans to farmers at zero percent interest. A well conceived package will also be chalked out for value additional of agriculture produce in the interest of farmers.
South Asian countries want to invest jointly with investors of the country and state. In this regard, foreign investors displayed considerable enthusiasm about possibilities in Madhya Pradesh. Shri Chouhan said that if Japanese companies invest on large scale then special industrial zone will be set up for them in the state. He informed that Madhya Pradesh Pavilion at India Show in Japan has been adjudged best.
Discussions about investment in electronic sector were held with about 100 South Korean companies. Madhya Pradesh has immense possibilities in this sector. Besides, Korean companies are also ready for investment in Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor. Shri Chouhan said that if necessary, an Electronic City will also be developed in the state for these companies.
About his Singapore visit, Shri Chouhan informed that Singapore is regarded as a gateway for investment by South Asian countries in any country. Twenty high-level companies of Singapore have evinced interest in investment in value addition units connected with agriculture sector. He said that positive indications have also been received about investment in infrastructure development, manufacturing, food processing and tourism sectors. During discussion with Singapore’s Trade and Industry Minister, he assured to send a delegation to attend Global Investors Summit. Besides, representatives of industries and banks have also showed inclination to become partners in investment.
Expressing pleasure of successful surgery of twin sisters at Padhar (Betul) Hospital and their recovering fully, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that he will visit the hospital to see the girls.
