Madhy Pradesh has Better atmosphere for investment
Bhopal. Madhya Pradesh has a better atmosphere for capital investment and the State Government is ready to extend every possible assistance to industrialists, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Monday said while meeting with representatives of eight industrial groups at Mantralaya here today. He will meet industrialists every Monday as part of efforts to give fillip to capital investment in the state.
Shri Chouhan had one-to-one meetings with industrialists and acquainted himself with their proposals. He also gave instructions for concerning officers to ensure prompt action with regard to proposals. Shri Chouhan said that better atmosphere for capital investment prevails in Madhya Pradesh and the State Government is ready to extend every possible assistance to industrialists. He said that whatever process is to be undertaken under rules should be undertaken promptly. Farmers’ interests should also be considered while acquiring their lands for industries.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that rationalisation of electricity tariff for captive power plants is being considered like other states. Work is afoot that rectification process of refund under I.T.R. of VAT is carried out quarterly. He instructed that reply to coverage by the Union Government on proposals for mineral-based industries should be given within stipulated time-limit. Similarly, meetings for giving no-objection certificates by the department should also be held within time-limit.
It was informed at the meeting that state’s first steel plant will be set up in Jabalpur district by Pacific Group.
