Spiritual heritage needs to be preserved
Bhopal: Energy & Mineral Resources Development Minister Shri Rajendra Shukla has said that our country has the speciality that spiritual and religious powers exist here. He said that our country’s invaluable cultural and spiritual heritage needs to be preserved. Shri Shukla was laying foundation stone of Ved Vidyalay to be constructed at a cost of about Rs. one crore on the premises of Maa Sharda Dham at Maihar in Satna district yesterday.
Shri Shukla said that mantras and shlokas of our country contain immense power. Spiritual and religious powers help in keeping natural disasters away and getting rid of them. These powers provide happiness and prosperity to people. He said inclination is declining among people to imbibe knowledge of Hindu priesthood. He exhorted Gurukul students to contribute in the welfare of society and country after pursuing education. The Energy Minister hoped that establishment of Ved Vidyalay will further increase prestige of this pious place.
It was informed on the occasion that Ved Vidyalay is being established keeping in view the need to make next generation aware about methods of performing religious rites and rituals. The school will be 50-seater. Students pursuing education here will be provided free clothes and food. The school will be managed by Sharda Management Committee. At the programme, Muslim Welfare Committee, Maihar, felicitated Energy Minister Shri Shukla.
MP Shri Ganesh Singh, MLA Shri Motilal Tiwari, Vindhya Development Authority member Shri Ramkripal Patel and officers of the district administration were present on the occasion.
