Govt. to boost rural economy: CM

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that rural economy of Madhya Pradesh will be boosted after availability of basic amenities like 24-hour power supply and roads in villages. He urged youths to bring about an enterprise revolution. Mukhyamantri Yuva Swarozgar Yojana has been introduced for this. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan addressed farmers and development convention at Pandhana in Khandwa district today. At the programme, he inaugurated and laid foundation stone of 64 works costing Rs. 61 crore 33 lakh 53 thousand.
Fulfilling long-pending demand of farmers, the Chief Minister announced survey for a lift irrigation scheme for drinking and irrigation water in Chhaigaonmakhan area. A canal will be brought from Narmada project main canal for this purpose. The project will irrigate about 34 thousand hectare in Chhaigaonmakhan development block which has been declared as grey area and supply drinking water to about 1.50 lakh villagers.
Shri Chouhan said that Madhya Pradesh government has fulfilled its promises with common people and farmers. Loans at zero percent interest rate to farmers and free distribution of medicines for common people have proved to be great boons to the working class. The Chief Minister said that the government of 10-years-ago did not make serious efforts for upliftment of common people and villages. Our government has started integrated development works in villages. Piped water schemes have been implemented to supply drinking water to every rural household for the convenience of women. Traffic is becoming smooth in villages through construction of roads under Mukhyamantri Gram Sadak Yojana and Panch Parmeshwar Yojana. Now, the State Government will extend financial assistance to rural craftspersons like barber, cobbler, ironsmith, potter etc. to boost their business.
After urging youths to bring about enterprise revolution in Madhya Pradesh, Shri Chouhan announced that Mukhyamantri Yuva Swarozgar Yojana has been launched to provide the youths bank loan guarantee. This year, a target has been set to start one lakh industries by youths. Shri Chouhan said now a wave of starting small industries should sweep across the state. Various production units should be set up in villages. Zila Panchayat Chairman Shri Rajpal Singh Tomar, MLA Shri Anar Singh Wasklale, former MP Shri Nandkumar Singh Chouhan also spoke on the occasion.
Chief Minister gives 2 gifts
The Chief Minister directed to conduct examination and survey of schemes demands for which had been raised through public representatives. These include irrigation through canal from Sukta dam in villages Rajpura, Ghatakheri, Baroda, Guradiya, Babli, Mohanpur, Siltieeya, Kundyay, Umarda, Padhana etc, construction of irrigation stop-dam over the river near village Jamla, major stop-dam over Phiihrad river on Malgaon road, construction of bridge over Sukta river on Hemgir-Baghmala road in Pandhana development, stadium for sports and cultural activities at Pandhana, road upto village Jamla Lingi Phate, Aarood to Ghatakheri, Piplod Khas to Lalmati and culverts, road from village Tembhi to Chhaigaonmakhan via Malgaon, Pokhar Kalan to Anwaliya, Kharwa, village Surgaon Joshi to Sonad and road from village Ahmadpur to Surgaon Joshi, construction of boundary wall and renovation of buildings of School for Excellence and Government Girls School in Pandhana, openingi boys hostel at village Kharwa, girls hostels at Salai, Gajwada, Lakhangaon and Nankhera, ITI at village Singot, tahsil status to sub-tahsil Chhaigaonmakhan, constitution of a revenue sub-division by including Chhaigaonmakhan and Pandhana tahsils and establish sub-tehail tappa office at village Singot. He also gave away cheque to beneficiaries under various schemes.
