Plug leakage in revenue recovery cent percent
Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has directed for cent percent plugging of revenue recovery. Launch a campaign to revise rates of taxes not revised for last 2 years. Ensure that common people face no difficulty during revenue collection, he added. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan was reviewing activities of revenue collection departments here today.
Chief Secretary Shri Anthony de Sa was also present on the occasion.
Undertaking department-wise review of revenue collection, Shri Chouhan said that he will review activities of these departments every month. All departments should monitor revenue receipts constantly. Shri Chouhan said that special attention should be paid to revenue collection. He directed to accelerate pace of setting up integrated check-posts on state’s borders. The concerning departments should ensure monitoring of the check-posts already operating.
At the meeting, Shri Chouhan reviewed revenue collection activities of Commercial Taxes, Registration, Forests, Mineral Resources Development, Transport, Land Revenue, Energy, Water Resources, Home and Public Works departments. Additional Chief Secretary Finance Shri Ajay Nath and Principal Secretaries of concerning departments attended the meeting.
