Need to apprise people of real situation and facts about Jammu Kashmir
Bhopal: Public Relations Minister Shri Rajendra Shukla has said that due to erroneous policies, feeling of separatism is increasing gradually in people of Jammu Kashmir. Trust of minorities there mainly Hindus has been undermined due to government policies. Shri Shukla urged media to apprise people of real situation and facts about Jammu Kashmir. Shri Shukla was addressing a national seminar on “Realities and Ideals of Jammu Kashmir : role of Media” at Bhopal today. The seminar was held jointly by Makhanlal Chaturvedi Patrakarita Vishwavidyalaya, Jammu Kashmir Study Centre and Indian Media Centre, New Delhi.
Public Relations Minister Shri Shukla said that late Pandit Shyama Prasad Mukherjee had opposed ‘one constitution, 2 heads of state’. He had also given resignation from the government over the issue. He said that the apprehensions expressed by late Shri Mukhejee 60 years ago are coming true now.
Shri Shukla said that media has undergone a major change in present times. Media should apprise people of real situation and facts about Jammu Kashmir. They should bring about awareness among youths and motivate them to work in this direction. Keynote speaker Dr. Vishwas Chouhan apprised of violation of human rights in Jammu Kashmir. Justice Kuldeep Jain of Human Rights Commission also spoke on the occasion. At the outset, vice-chancellor of Makhanlal Chaturvedi Patrakarita Vishwavidyalaya Shri Brij Kishore Kuthaliya and Registrar Shri Chandar Sonane welcomed the guests.
University’s annual calendar released: Pubic Relations Minister Shri Shukla also released annual calendar of Makhanlal Chaturvedi Patrakarita Vishwavidyalaya on the occasion. It highlights university’s activities.
