Kangana Ranaut turnrs 27 today
Mumbai: The ‘Queen’ Kangna Ranaut has turned 27 today. After the big success of her latest release ‘Queen’, the actress must be gearing up to throw a birthday bash.
Kangna, who hails from a small town named Mandi in Himachal Pradesh, has come a long way and is a known name in the film industry. She started her career with Asmita Theatre Group and did her training under eminent theatre director Arvind Gaur.
Kangna made her film debut in 2006 with a critically acclaimed performance in the thriller ‘Gangster’, for which she was awarded the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut.
She garnered further recognition for her role as a troubled model in the 2008 drama ‘Fashion’, earning her a National Film Award and a Filmfare Award in the Best Supporting Actress category.
Kangna subsequently featured in the commercially successful films Raaz – The Mystery Continues (2009) and Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai (2010).
Her role in the 2011 romantic comedy ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ proved to be a box office hit and garnered her praise from the critics.
After a series of brief, glamorous roles, Kangna achieved further success for her performances in the superhero film ‘Krrish 3’ (2013), one of the highest-grossing Bollywood films of all time.
The small town girl who has transformed into a ‘queen’, with her recent success has given her contemporaries a tough time by raising the bar of acting. We wish Kangna a very happy birthday.
