State-level Sustainable Agriculture Programme committee constituted
Bhopal: The state government has constituted state level Sustainable Agriculture Programme committee to implement programme’s activities in the state. Agriculture Production Commissioner has been appointed its Chairman. Its members include Additional Chief Secretary Rural Development, Additional Chief Secretary Finance, Principal Secretary Farmers Welfare and Agriculture Development, Principal Secretary Revenue, Principal Secretary Animal Husbandry, Principal Secretary Fishermen’s Welfare and Fisheries Development, Principal Secretary Water Resources, Principal Secretary Cooperatives, Vice-Chancellor of Jawaharlal Nehru Agriculture University, Jabalpur, Vice-Chancellor of Rajmata Vijaya Raje Scindia Agriculture University, Gwalior, Director, State-level Nodal Body (Watershed Area Development Programme), Director, Central Agriculture Engineering Institute, Director, Indian Soil Science Institute, Director National Soybean Research Centre, Indore, Director, State Extension Training Institute and Director, Agriculture Engineering. Director, Farmers Welfare and Agriculture Development will be committee’s Member-Secretary and Commissioner-cum-Director Horticulture and Civic Forestry Joint Member-Secretary.
The committee will be responsible for planning, implementation and monitoring of the mission in the state. It will review programme ’s implementation minimum once in a quarter.
