Over 70 % polling in 38 Vidhan Sabha constituencies

Bhopal: Over 70 % polling was registered in 38 Vidhan Sabha constituencies in 29 Lok Sabha constituencies in recent elections in Madhya Pradesh. Maximum of these Vidhan seats are under Chhindwara Lok Sabha constituency. Both male and female voters have contributed to unprecedented increase in polling percentage in Lok Sabha elections. This is the reason that males’ voting percentage was over 70 in 83 out of 230 Vidhan Sabha constituencies and 60 to 80 % females cast their votes in 75 Vidhan Sabha constituencies.

Under Chhindwara Lok Sabha seat, Saunsar Vidhan Sabha constituency registered 81.18 per cent polling, Pandhurna 80.95, Chaurai 80.95, Amarwara 79.09, Parasiya 78.17, Chhindwara 77.46, in Mandsaur’s Malhargarh 76.66, in Chhindwara’s Junnardeo 76.33, in Ratlam’s Ratlam Rural 74.86, in Khandwa’s Pandhana 74.65, Ratlam’s Sailana 74.58, Khandwa’s Nepanagar 74.41 and Bagli 73.75, Dewas’ Sonkuchh 73.64, Vidisha’s Ichhawar 73.58, Mandsaur 72.95, Neemuch 72.95, Balaghat’s Barghat 72.75, Mandsaur’s Suwasara 72.52, Rajgarh’s Sarangpur 72.47, Dhar’s Badnagar 72.2, Dewas’ Ashta 72.03, Khandwa’s Burhanpur 72.2, Khargone’s Pansemal 71.94, Dewas’ Haat Pipaliya 71.76 and Shajapur 71.56, Shahdol’s Jaisingh Nagar 71.54 । In remaining constituencies polling was minimum 60.05 percent.

Chhindwara stood first in both male and female polling percentage. Male polling percentage in Chorai was 83.41, Saunsar 83.24, Pandhurna 82.77, Amarwara 81.94, Mandsaur’s Malhargarh, 81.76, Dewas’ Sonkuchh 80.93, Chhindwara’s Parasiya 79.88, Rajgarh’s Sarangpur 79.63, Dewas’ Ashta 79.62, Ratlam’s Ratlam rural 79.62, Vidisha’s Ichhawar 79.58, Mandsaur’s Suwasara 79.02, Chhindwara 79.01, Dewas’ Haat Pipaliya 78.93, Agar 78.27, Khandwa’s Pandhana 78.07, Dhar’s Badnagar 78.07, Chhindwara’s Junnardeo 78.04 percent. Besides, 65 Vidhan Sabha constituencies registered over 70 percent polling। in 90 Vidhan Sabha constituencies, male polling percent was above 60.

This time, women also took part in elections enthusiastically. This is the reason that their polling percentage in 75 Vidhan Sabha constituencies was between 60.08 and 79.01 percent. These include maximum 7 Vidhan Sabha seats in Chhindwara Lok Sabha constituency and 7 others. In Chhindwara’s Pandhurna, female polling percentage was 79.01, Saunsar 78.89, Chaurai 78.25, Parasiya 76.34, Amarwara 76.20, Chhindwara 75.82 and Junnardeo 74.55, in Ratlam’s Sailana 73.51, Balaghat’s Barghat 72.63, Khandwa’s Nepanagar 72.54, Mandsaur’s Malhargarh 71.33, Khandwa’s Bagli 71.26 and Pandhana 70.93, Mandla’s Dindori 70.73 and Shahdol’s Jaisingh Nagar 70.34 percent. In remaining Vidhan Sabha constituencies, polling percentage of females stood at 75 percent.
