School Chalen Ham Abhiyan should be every person’s campaign

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that mutual cooperation of government and people is necessary for the success of every public interest campaign. A system will be evolved to directly associate people with mass campaigns in the state. Describing Jan-Abhiyan Parishad’s role in School Chalen Ham Abhiyan as important, Shri Chouhan said that every person should be associated with this campaign. This is a campaign of the people and not the government. He said that minimum 5 lakh motivators should join the campaign. With this a large portion of society will be associated with the campaign. It is noteworthy that so far one lakh motivators have joined the campaign. Shri Chouhan said that special efforts are needed for admission of children of nomadic tribes, orphans, children with special needs and those of tribal communities in schools. Counselling will have to be given constantly to children of these families. Facility of temporary hostel will also have to be mobilised for families who migrate in search of work. He said that the campaign should not be confined to only getting children admitted in schools. Attention should also be paid that every child completes education upto class XII necessarily, quality of teaching is maintained and teachers’ attendance is 100 percent. Campaign in 4 phases: Chief Minister Shri Chouhan will launch the campaign on June 16. It will be in 4 phases. In the first phase, Village Education Registers will be completed. In the second phase, admission campaign will be undertaken from June 16 to July. In the third and fourth phases, attention will be paid to children’s regular attendance and quality of teaching.
