Yoga-necessary to maintain healthy body
Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that maintaining health is vital to do big and move forward in life. Exercise and yoga are necessary for healthy body. Shri Chouhan was addressing Mass Surya Namaskar Programme at Boys Higher Secondary School, Bairagarh here today.
The Chief Minister said that Swami Vivekananda used to say that nothing is impossible for a human being. Life of a person is not for being wasted. It should be used in a better way. The Chief Minister said that Surya Namaskar is the exercise of all parts of the body, due to which it remains fit. Mass Surya Namaskar Programme has been held so that school students can realise its importance. Now, even the West is accepting importance of Yoga. On the initiative of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, United Nations Organisation has announced to observe June 21 as Yoga Day. He exhorted children to practice Yoga and Pranayam daily to keep healthy.
CM teaches Sukshm Vyayam to children
At the programme, the Chief Minister informed that he does Sukshm Vyayam, Surya Namaskar and Pranayam. He performed Sukshm Vyayam and taught children about its importance. Later, he performed Surya Namaskar and Pranayam with children. Earlier, Student Cabinet’s office-bearers Shri Sonu Patel and Aarti Rajak welcomed the Chief Minister. Vande Mataram and Madhya Pradesh Gaan were recited. MLA Shri Rameshwar Sharma, Shri Nanak Ram Vadhwani, Additional Chief Secretary School Education Shri S.R. Mohanthy, Commissioner Rajya Shiksha Kendra Smt. Rashmi Arun Shami and Commissioner Public Instructions Shri D.D. Agrawal were also present on the occasion.
