MP Mobile Project launched
Bhopal: The state government has introduced MP Mobile Project to deliver public services to people of the state anywhere and anytime through information technology. Under the project, digital services will be delivered to people through mobile. These include services delivered electronically to people by all government departments, organisations and agencies. For this, concerning departments should prepare Application Programme Interface of electronically delivered services and hand it over to MAP_IT. With this, electronically delivered services of government departments, organisations and agencies will be integrated with MP Mobile.
It is noteworthy that the state government has decided to introduce this service by taking an important step towards making available public services to people quickly, transparently, economically and conveniently. MP Mobile Project was formally launched by Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan at e-Governance Awards Distribution Function in April this year.
Secretary to CM and Information Technology Shri Hari Ranjan Rao has desired all government departments, heads of departments, commissioners and collectors to ensure necessary action for delivery of services to people through MP Mobile in the context of state government’s directives. In the circular issued in this regard, all government departments, organisations and agencies have been asked to provide details of their web services to MAP-IT for digital delivery to people.
For this ambitious project, the state government has appointed departmental unit MAP_IT as the nodal agency. MAP_IT will ensure delivery of all public services through mobile in phases.
MP Mobile will be developed as an integrated platform. Through it, services will be delivered to people with technical specialities and mediums.
One mobile app – People will have to download only one mobile app through which they can get all available services of various departments.
One website www.mpmobile.gov.in – People can get desired services on their mobiles through one web application.
One short code –people not having smart phone can also avail USSD facilities by dialing just one code.
In this way, a person can avail government services using any of the three alternatives on MP Mobile.
At present, various departments are making available services to their beneficiaries electronically. For this, web applications have been developed. A person has to download different mobile applications to avail these services. Through MP Online, all these services will be available at one platform.
