Mining Corporation turnover increases by 190 % and profit 54 % in one year
Bhopal: Mineral Resources Minister Shri Rajendra Shukla chaired a meeting of Board of Directors of Madhya Pradesh Mineral Resources Development Corporation here today. Corporation’s Vice-Chairman Shri Giriraj Kishore was also present.
It was informed at the meeting that net income of Rs. 699.46 and gross income of Rs. 101.87 crore was earned by the corporation during year 2014-15. During year 2013-14, the corporation had earned total Rs. 241.53 crore and before tax profit of Rs. 66.12. Corporation’s income has increased by 190 percent and profit by 54 percent in 2014-15 as compared to previous year.
During current fiscal, the corporation earned Rs. 635 crore through e-auction of sand mines measuring 3 crore 20 lakh square metres. The government will be paid Rs. 320 crore royalty.
New mineral analysis lab to come up at Arera Hill
At the meeting, sanction was granted to construction of ultramodern lab for minerals’ analysis, minerals museum and Mining Corporation costing Rs. 26 crore 86 lakh at Arera Hill. The state of the art building will have solar power panels of 5 kilowatt energy generation.
Consent was given for appointment of experts of IT, mining and environment, law officers and consultant in the corporation on contract basis as per rules.
