Shraddha Kapoor confirmed as actress opposite Aamir, Bachchan in Thugs of Hindostan?
Mumbai: In one of the most interesting casting coups of Bollywood, two big stars, Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan, will be seen sharing screen space in ‘Thugs of Hindostan’ that is set to release during Diwali next year.
Aamir Khan’s recent film ‘Dangal’ broke almost all the box office records and Amitabh Bachchan’s ‘Pink’ was also highly acclaimed and a success at the box office. So nothing could be bigger than the two stars coming together for the first time.
The leading lady has not been confirmed yet but now it seems that Shraddha Kapoor has been signed on for the film, according to a report in dna.
Earlier it was reported that ‘Befikre’ girl Vaani Kapoor would be signed but Aamir was not keen to have her in the film. There were also reports of Kriti Sanon coming on board the film and also reports claiming that she was not signed for the film.
And amid reports that Shraddha had given a look test, it seems that she has raced ahead of the other actresses and has got finalised for the film.
Shraddha is going through a lean phase for the first time since ‘Aashiqui 2’, with her last two films ‘Rock On 2’ and ‘OK Jaan’ flopping at the box office and ‘Thugs of Hindodstan’ could just be the boost she needs in her career.
The production house, Yash Raj Films, however, denied that Shraddha has been signed but we expect an announcement soon.
‘Thugs of Hindostan’ will be directed by ‘Dhoom 3’ director Vijay Krishna Acharya.
