Narmada Seva Yatra is a Subject of Discussion in Entire World
Bhopal. Narmada Seva Yatra has delivered a message not only in the country but in the world that how much necessary is conservation of rivers today. It is true that rivers cannot be conserved only by government’s efforts until there is no active participation of people in it. Minister of State for Tourism and Culture Shri Surendra Patwa said this addressing the Jan-Samvad held at Ketodhan situated on the bank of Narmada River of Raisen district. MLA Shri Ramkishan Patel, Chairman Mineral Development Corporation Shri Shiv Choubey and Head of Ujjain Akhada Parishad Shri Avdheshpuri Maharaj were present on the occasion.
Shri Patwa mentioned that social concerns are must besides development. We should make collective efforts to make all the rivers clean and to ensure brimful water in them all around the year. Entire Madhya Pradesh is standing beside this remarkable campaign started at the initiative of the Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan for Narmada conservation.
MP Shri Uday Pratap Singh mentioned that Narmada river is the most purest river of the country. This has been established by the scientific facts. This yatra is a subject of discussion in 173 countries of the world. It is our responsibility to keep all the rivers including Narmada clean and pure.
Swami Avdheshanand of Ujjain said that environment pollution is the biggest challenge before the world. We obtain water from rivers, wood from trees, but we neither give anything back to rivers nor we plants new trees. The work for river conservation started by Chief Minister Shri Chouhan is unimaginable. We all have to make it successful together, he added.
Earlier, yatra was accorded grand welcome on its arrival at Ketodhan. Jan-Samvad was started with poojan of Narmada’s flag and kalash. Today is 6th day of yatra in Raisen district. Mass pledge was taken to keep Narmada river clean and plantation after the Jan-Samvad. Also Narmada Aarti was performed on the occasion.
