Madhya Pradesh changes fiscal year to january-December from 2018

New Delhi: Within few days of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s proposal of changing financial year from April-March to January-December, Madhya Pradesh government declared that it will move to January-December fiscal year from 2018.

According to a report in The Indian Express, the change will make the fiscal calendar of Madhya Pradesh concur with the calendar year.
Government spokesman Narottam Mishra announced the decision after the Cabinet met under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
On Monday, last week, Modi had proposed at the 3rd governing council meet at NITI Aayog, the change in fiscal year.
