Mumbai: A 21-year-old woman disc jockey (DJ), who was allegedly a part of a high-profile sex racket, was arrested in Mumbai on Monday. The racket was involved in honey trapping and blackmailing.
The accused used to film men in sexual acts and blackmail them with threats to lodge rape cases against them. The DJ hails from Jaipur and is wanted in a case there, said the police.
Last year, special operations group of Rajasthan Police had busted a racket in which a group of accused extorted over Rs 15 crore from few men by filming them in sexual acts. The accused is wanted in the case since December last year.
The case was registered on the complaint of a Jaipur-based doctor. As per the complaint, the woman had convinced him to take her to Pushkar where they stayed at a resort. He was filmed and was asked to pay Rs 1 crore as extortion money. When the doctor failed to pay, a case of rape was registered and the doctor was also sent to jail.
