International Women’s Day: Bollywood actresses who inspire us

In a country like India, where actors are given no less than a demi-god status, one can only imagine the impact they have on the lives of the people. Although just human, there are a number of stars who have risen above and inspired a million others to follow their lead and make an impact in society. Sushmita Sen is the first Indian woman to be crowned as Miss Universe. Sushmita won the beauty pageant in the year 1994. Since then she has been showing all girls that they can accomplish anything just by putting their heart to it. She has gone on to prove that no barrier of caste, creed or colour can stop them from reaching great heights.

Apart from recently being in the news for all the wrong reasons Kangana Ranaut’s name resonates with us whenever we hear the word ’empowerment’.
