Search Underway for Suitable Tiger for Panna Tigresses
Almost after six months of lonely life, two female tigresses at Panna National Park are likely to get a male companion soon as scientists from Wildlife Institute of India (WII) commence the process of identifying a suitable mate in abutting Bandhavgarh sanctuary.
“Scientists S Sen and K Ramesh will work with the state officials to identify the suitable male big cat in Bandhavgarh park which can be relocated to Panna reserve which has two female tigresses,” WII Director PR Sinha said.
Though the tiger is expected to be shifted by September 25, it depends on various situations like finding a suitable tiger, weather conditions, and available logistics, he said.
