Gionee makes a comeback with M11, M11s smartphones: Expected specs and features
Chinese smartphone maker Gionee has made a comeback to the market after it reportedly went bankrupt and fell off the grid last year. It now appears that the company has made a comeback considering the Chinese smartphone major announced new smartphones in their lineup. The smartphones are Gionee M11 and the Gionee M11s.
The Gionee M11 and the Gionee M11s share the same design considering there are two colour variants of the similar-looking phones in the promo information. The two smartphones share similar features like a waterdrop notch display, dual-rear cameras, a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, and a glass rear panel. Both smartphones also feature red-coloured power buttons. The smartphones also seem to share similar specs when it comes to RAM, storage, and cameras.
The Gionee M11 and the Gionee M11s have both been shown to feature 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. However, the company has not mentioned which processor it will be powered by. The unveiling also did not mention which phone is which, but it mentions a 4000mAh battery. A recent TENAA listing has revealed that both the phones not only have different battery capacities but also differ in different areas. The phone listing on TENAA was first spotted by GizmoChina.
The source states that the two Gionee smartphones carry model numbers 20190620G and 20190619G and were certified by TENAA very recently. The phones have been believed to be the Gionee M11 and the Gionee M11s.
The TENAA certification has shown that one of the two smartphones from Gionee features a 6.217-inch display and packs a 5000mAh battery. The smartphone also measures 157.6 x 76.4 x 9.4 mm. One Gionee smartphone has been tipped to get a 6.3-inch display, a 4000mAh battery, and measures 160.6 x 75.8 x 8.4 millimetres. The TENAA images do prove that the phones are not identical.
Although both devices feature dual rear cameras and rear-mounted fingerprint scanners, if you look at the right places, you will see the designs are different. One of the phones features both camera sensors and the LED flash in the same housing module and also gets a circular fingerprint scanner. The phone also gets a pink-purple-black gradient colour. The other phone features an LED flash from the dual rear cameras and gets an oval fingerprint sensor as compared to the circular fingerprint from the earlier one. The phone features a blue-purple gradient colour.
