AI Official Accused of Sexual Assault

A senior official of public air carrier Air India has been accused of sexual assault by a local woman employee of the airline at the John F Kennedy Airport in New York.

According to reports, a complaint was lodged in this regard by a Carribean woman yesterday against Air India’s airport manager Anil Sabharwal who left for New Delhi before the charge was made.

The details of the incident are not clear. The Executive Director Air India for the Americas, Chitra Sarkar, was reached by a news agency but she declined to comment.
