Sensex made a high of 85,236 and Nifty of 26,032: Market closed at 85,169, up 255 points, IT and energy stocks rose

The stock market has made an all-time high for the sixth consecutive day today i.e. on 25 September. During trading, the Sensex touched 85,247 and the Nifty touched 26,032. After this, the Sensex closed at 85,169 with a gain of 255 points.

Nifty also rose by 63 points and closed at 26,004. Auto, IT, energy and banking stocks saw a rise. Powergrid’s stock rose by Rs 14.15 (4.04%) to close at Rs 364.20 today. It was the top gainer of Nifty 50.

Asian markets rise today

  • Most Asian markets are bullish today. China’s Shanghai Composite Index rose by 1.16% and Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index rose by 0.68%. Korea’s Kospi closed down by 1.34%.
  • On September 24, the Dow Jones of the US market rose 0.20% to close at 42,208. The Nasdaq rose 0.56% to 18,074 and the S&P 500 rose 0.25% to close at 5,732.
  • According to NSE data, foreign investors (FIIs) sold shares worth Rs 2,784.14 crore on September 24. During this period, domestic investors (DIIs) bought shares worth Rs 3,868.31 crore.

Yesterday the market had made an all-time high. Earlier yesterday, on September 24, the stock market had made an all-time high for the fourth consecutive trading day. During trading, the Sensex touched 85,163 and the Nifty touched 26,011. However, after this the market came down and the Sensex closed at 84,914 with a fall of 14 points. On the other hand, Nifty rose by only 1 point, it closed at 25,940.
