Conference of Keer community at CM house; would sent proposal for inclusion of Keer in ST

The Keer Community , residing in more than one and a half dozen districts of the state, had been demanding change of occupation in government records for a long time. Now soon this correction will be done in the government records.

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said in the conference of Keer Community held at CM House, the matter of business change of Keer Community is under consideration. The reality is that your current business is not what you have written. Kir Community does agriculture, agriculture-labour, Tendupatta collection, Mahua picking etc. Action will be taken to write your real occupation in front of the caste. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that after conducting the survey again, he will send the proposal to include in the Scheduled Tribes to the Central Government with the recommendation.

In the conference, CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that a grand statue of Veerangana Maa Puri Bai would be installed by selecting a suitable place in the state. Maa Puri Bai Jayanti will be celebrated with pomp on 11th December, this day will be declared as a voluntary holiday. Keer Community ‘s welfare board will also be formed in the name of Maa Puri Bai. State President of Keer Community Komal Singh, Patron KG Keer and Acting President Bhagirath Prasad along with other office bearers and a large number of social people from all over the state were present in the conference.

In the program, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that he has had a connection with Keer Community since childhood. I have played and grown up among the people of Keer Community . Keer will walk step by step with the society. Keer will leave no stone unturned for the welfare, upliftment and education of the children.

The Chief Minister said that money will not be allowed to come in the way of the education of talented children. Uncle will pay the fees of medical, engineering and higher education. We will also make efforts that children come forward in the field of industry and business apart from traditional business. Under the Mukhyamantri Udyam Kranti Yojana, loans ranging from one lakh to 50 lakh will be given to interested youth. The government will take its guarantee.

Keer Community State President Komal Singh told that around the year 2013, the work of Kevat, Dhimar, Bhoi, Kahar, Mallah, Batham Community like fishing, filling water in houses, cleaning utensils in front of the business of the people of our Keer Community . The works were described as the business of the Kir Community . While this is not the work of Kir Community . The work of our society is to do farming. The delegation of the society had met the Chief Minister on 7th December last year to change the occupation of our society in the list of OBC category, after which CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan had talked about conducting a survey. Its survey report has also been submitted.
