Recruitment will be done on one lakh government posts in one year, so far 60000 posts have been appointed: CM Chouhan

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that 1 lakh government posts will be recruited in the state in a year, out of which about 60000 posts have been appointed. Chief Minister Chouhan was addressing the appointment letter distribution program of Excise, Labor and Cooperative Department.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that on last August 15, I had talked about recruitment of one lakh posts in a year. This recruitment drive is going on continuously. So far, 60000 people have been given appointments.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that the state is moving on the path of development and progress. The per capita income which used to be Rs 11 thousand in the year 2002-03 has now increased to Rs one lakh 40 thousand. GSDP is 15 lakh crore and the budget of the state is 3 lakh 15 thousand crore.

Appointment letters were distributed to a total of 741 candidates in the programme. Appointment letters were given to 340 Excise constables in the Excise Department, 347 clerks and computer operators in the Cooperative Department and 54 candidates for the posts of Insurance Medical Officer, Pharmacist, Assistant Grade 3 and Safai Sevak in the Labor Department.

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan performed bhoomi-pujan of Handia Barrage Micro Lift Irrigation Project costing more than Rs 1294 crores in Khategaon assembly of Dewas district.

The Chief Minister also announced renaming of Handia Barrage Micro Lift Irrigation Project as Baba Siddhanth Project and Harangaon as Tehsil.

In the project, 12.60 cumec water will be lifted from Narmada river near village-Kundgaonkhurd in Khategaon tehsil of Dewas district and transported to 72 villages of Dewas district and 25 MW electricity will be generated. With this, irrigation is proposed in 35000 hectare area in Khategaon Tehsil from Handia Barrage Project.
