Blogging Comes of Age, Shah Rukh Khan Turns to Twitter
Considered a fledgling medium of little consequence just a few months ago, blogging has certainly come of age with the best known names in the country developing a taste for the non-conventional medium that has taken the world by storm.
Spurred on by its immense potential to connect with young India, the latest to be bitten by the bug is none other than Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, who can be seen blogging under the nom-de-plume ‘iamsrk’ on twitter.
In his first post on the micro-blogging site SRK credited director and long-time-friend Karan Johar with infecting him with the Twitter fever.
“Hi everyone. Being extremely shy I never thought I would be here. But my friend Karan insisted that I should learn to share my life,” wrote a bashful SRK, to receive a rousing response from some 18000 followers that signed up on his page less than 24 hours later.
“Thanx everyone this is really sweet…didn’t expect such a warm welcome. love to u all” he wrote in response to the huge approval his presence on Twitter was met with.
