Fashion show to help cancer patient
MUMBAI: To help cancer patients, Shaina NC and Manish Malhotra’s high-flying event in aid of the Cancer Patients Aid Association saw an interesting line-up of the celeb brigade, both on and off the ramp.
At least 70 eminent personalities sashayed down the ramp in the designers’ collections. Nita Ambani and Kajol stepped out to show their support to the Nobel cause, as did brand ambassador of the NGO, Vivek Oberoi.
Riya Sen, Farah Ali Khan, Tisca Chopra, Madhoo Shah, Shama Sikander, Divya Dutta, Vidya Malavade, and Sheetal Mafatlal walked on as the crowds cheered here.
Nikhil Chaturvedi, Mitali Kakkar, Shweta Kawatra and Manav Gohil, Zeba Kohli, Lillete and Ira Dubey, Neelam and Ronit Roy, Schauna Chauhan and Bikram Saluja, Sammir Dattani, Darshan Hiranandani, and Chhaya Mohmaya amongst others also put their best foot forward on the ramp.
The air was charged with excitement backstage as well, as Kajol dropped by. Nita was seen cheering sister Mamta Dalal, as she too took to the stage while Praful Patel cheered on daughter Poorna.
DJ Megha Kawale’s music kept the mood upbeat all through the show that was beautifully directed by Vahbiz Mehta who was ably assisted by Delnaz.
Manish was backstage throughout personally supervising everything and was overheard talking about how important fitting sessions actually are. ‘Fittings are the shows,’ Manish said.
