Prashanth Neel confirms ‘KGF 3’ with Yash, says ‘script is ready’
Prashanth Neel and Yash’s ‘KGF’ franchise created history in Indian cinema and broke several box office records after their respective releases. Now, the director has confirmed the third installment of the gangster drama.
Prashanth Neel is currently gearing up for the release of ‘Salaar’. Now, ahead of that, he spoke to Pinkvilla about his blockbuster franchise ‘KGF’ and gave an update on its third installment. He said, “KGF 3 will happen. I don’t know if I am the director or not, but Yash will always be a part of it. We didn’t announce it for the sake of it.”
Prashanth added, “We already have a script. We had decided on the script before making the announcement. Yash is a very responsible individual and won’t put out things for just commercial reasons. We were sure to have things on paper before making an official announcement at the end of ‘KGF 2′”.
Meanwhile, Prashanth is also preparing for his maiden project with Jr NTR, tentatively titled NTR 31. Speaking about the same, he said that after ‘Salaar’ he will start shooting for the movie in the latter half of 2024.
Prashanth Neel and Prabhas’ ‘Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire’ is slated to hit theatres on December 22. The movie also features Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan and Jagapathi Babu in pivotal roles. Backed by Hombale Films, ‘Salaar’ is reportedly made on a budget of Rs 400 crore.
