Two Oscar nominations for Rahman
For his work on the film 127 Hours A R Rahman has bagged two Oscar nominations. Rahman is nominated in two categories, best original score for 127 hours and for the best original song for If I Rise.
The nominations for the 83rd Academy Awards were announced on Tuesday.
The King’s Speech is the leading contender at this year’s Academy Awards with 12 nominations including nominations for best picture and acting honours for Colin Firth, Helena Bonham Carter and Geoffrey Rush.
Rahman’s last visit to the Oscars for Danny Boyle’s Slumdog Millionare landed him two Oscars, we hope that the winning team weaves their magic once again.
