Urmila Matondkar turns 41 today
New Delhi: Urmila Matondkar, the popular actress well known for her intense style and dancing skills turned 41 on Wednesday. The actress has received lots of accolades for her notable work in Bollywood, Telugu and Tamil film industries.
Born on 4th February ,1974 in a Maharashtrian family in Mumbai,Urmila started her career in Bollywood as a child artist in the 1980 film ‘Kalyug’.
The actress marked her adult debut on silver screen with the movie ‘Bade Shar Ki Beti’. Just after this she was starred opposite to Shahrukh Khan in the fantasy film ‘Chamatkar’.
Urmila was futher seen in films like ‘Narasimha’, ‘Daud’, ‘Jaanam Samjha Karo’, ‘Hum Tumpe Marte Hai’, ‘Kunwara’, ‘Khoobsurat’, ‘Deewane’ and many more.
The actress magic onscreen was much appreciated and liked by the cine lovers. She was well known for her commendable dancing skills. She was frequently featured in media with her bold and sensual image.
The actress was often seen in director Ram Gopal Verma’s thriller films like ‘Antham’ which was retitled as ‘Drohi’ and many more.
The actress holds several awards in her kitty such as Bollywood Movie Award for the film ‘Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya’, Star Screen award, Zee Cine award, Apsara award and IIFA awards for the film ‘Bhoot’.She even won Rajiv Gandhi Memorial Award in 2004.
