Angry over island issue, China preparing itself for war

Beijing: Following the mounting controversies over Japan’s disputed island, the Asian giant China is preparing itself for war. People’s Liberation Army (PLA) has directed its aviation units to prepare for combat operations. US support to Japan over the Diaoyu Island dispute further aggravated the situation.
According to China’s official military newspaper, armed forces have made significant changes in the training programs. More helicopters are being added to the aviation units
Chinese army is also gearing up for combat operations. The air defence is being strengthened which can operate off the coast, while the other units are being trained for launching operations into enemy territory.
Meanwhile, Japan has made it clear that if the foreign fighters try to enter their airfield, it will retaliate strongly. China registered strong dissatisfaction over US’ veiled warning to Beijing not to challenge Japanese control of disputed islands.
