Hafiz Saeed in Pakistan, leads Eid prayers at Lahore
Lahore: Mastermind of Mumbai’s 26/11 terror attack, Hafiz Saeed addressed huge Eid gathering at Lahore’s famous Gaddafi stadium on Friday.
Saeed also tweeted Eid greetings with a strong anti-India message. “Time is near when those oppressed in Kashmir, Palestine and Burma will celebrate ‘Eid’ in the air of Freedom – Insha’Allah. EidMubarak,” he tweeted.
The event was also advertised on posters all over the city, a media report said.
The Jamaat-ud-Dawa chief has a USD 10 million bounty on his head by the US. Saeed, one of India’s most wanted terrorists, had earlier this year claimed that he is free to move around Pakistan as a common man.
He had said he roams freely as his fate is in the hands of god and not America.
Friday’s incident is likely to further strain the ties between the two neighbouring countries. The latest round of tensions flared between India and Pakistan is due to the killing of five Indian Army soldiers the Line of Control (Loc) in Poonch sector in Jammu and Kashmir by Pakistani troops.
